The windows and the door to the balcony have been bolted shut. Meth addicts will not find their way onto our floor. The management has also hired security to patrol our hallways at night. They will make a walk through every hour.
And that low life that assaulted one of the ladies is put on notice. He will be evicted with the very next complaint from anyone for any reason. I read the notice on his door.
I am off duty tonight and my sponsor and I will be going out for tacos. El Cazador makes great tacos and enchiladas. He is trying to interest me in going back to school. He tells me it is never too late to learn.

He's right. It's never too late. I was a non-traditional student and there were many in my classes that were much older than I.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Patia. I shared at an AA meeting recently that the day that I stop being teachable I want to check out. Honestly, Red, I would rather drink than stop learning. I hate to see these old timers in AA who sit back on their fat behinds and never do a thing but not drink. I guess that's what is called a "dry drunk" and it's certainly not why I got sober 19+ years ago.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ladies. You give good advice. I will try to take one summer class this June and see how it goes.
